The amazingly awesome Evangelion doujinshi series Re-Take is getting made into a Japanese live-action adult video. In other words, a porno. Titled "EVER RE-TAKE," the film is being released by TMA, a studio quite infamous for taking popular anime titles & making adult videos based off of them (Lucky Star, Haruhi, & Higurashi to name a few). Despite its amazing story, Re-Take was basically a hentai doujinshi series. So making an AV based off it is a good idea I suppose. Still, I suspect this movie to have none of the depth of the doujinshi series & mainly concentrate on the dirty bits instead. This is quite backwards to author Kimigabuchi's treatment of the series (who I'm sure isn't involved in this project), who has recently started releasing improved "all-ages" versions of the Re-Take books in order to spread the wonderful story to a wider audience.
In related news, TMA will also be releasing another extremely interesting AV soon. This one isn't actually based off an anime, but rather an anime seiyuu. That's right, they're releasing a new title called "the Melancholy of Aya Hi—no," an adult video based off popular voice actress Aya Hirano. Hirano of course provides the voices of many popular characters such as Haruhi in Haruhi, Konata in Lucky Star, & Misa in Death Note. This AV wont actually feature Hirano herself, but rather a "look-alike" acting as her. Uhhh, I think Aya Hirano's gonna sue somebody.

A trailer for EVER: RE-TAKE, the live-action version of the Evangelion Re-Take doujinshi series, has appeared online. No worries though, as the trailer doesn't contain any visible nudity in it. So unless the people around you understand Japanese, it's a safe for work video. It goes without saying though that it does look pretty horrid. But just like American pornos, Japanese pornos don't really have high production values.
Don't be mistaken about one thing though: despite this being based off of Studio Kimigabuchi's story, they are in no way associated with this movie. Though while the quality looks bad, it does seem like it stays pretty faithful to the original story. I admit that I am curious in checking it out just because of how much I love Re-Take, though my expectations are pretty low. Just don't go expecting to see it on NebsTV. The DVD is set to come out in Japan on September 26. You can check out the trailer above, or download it here:

"Ever Re-Take" Cosplay AV Out Now
EVER RE-TAKE, the unofficial adult video adaptation of the fantastic Evangelion RE-TAKE doujinshi series, finally came out in Japan this week. So let's recap what this thing really is- an unofficial porno video of an unofficial doujinshi book series that's a sequel to an anime movie that was in itself a sequel to an anime television series. But still, for those who loved & enjoyed Studio Kimigabuchi's Re-Take series as much as I did, you might be interested in checking this AV out. Or at the very least, check out the screencaps that have appeared online.
While looking over the screencaps, I was surprised to see how faithful Ever Re-Take is to its source material. The pics are full of scenes taken directly from the doujinshi series, & I recognize all of them. The only real problem I have with this AV is how fat & ugly Shinji Shinshi's character is. All the other characters work well enough in their roles, especially Asuka Asoka's character. The few adult scenes from Re-Take are seen here, in addition to what seems to be a few extra ones, such as Ayanami & Asuka Aranami & Asoka making out (while in their plug-suits! *drool*) & then seemingly join Shinshi for a threesome.
But mostly, as I said, this does seem to stay faithful to the original source. Horrible looking special effects aside, anyway. You can check out a ton of screen caps at the site below. It should go without saying that there are some that are NSFW, though admittedly not as much as one might think:
