Despite Lucky Star's huge success in the anime world, it's easy to forget that the series is actually based off the manga of the same name. Not the typical type of graphic novel manga that we're used to seeing, but rather 4-panel strips that are more similar to what we see in American newspapers in the comics section. The story has been running for about three years in Japan, which is just as long as high school lasts over there as well. Well to reflect that time span, Konata & the rest of the Lucky Star girls recently graduated in the latest manga chapter.
This is a pretty big change in the story, if for nothing more than it means the girls will no longer be wearing their famous sailor uniforms. But what does it all really mean? What will happen now? Will the story move on to the girls in college? Will they even all go to the same college? Is the story ending & this is the start of the finale? Hard to say for sure, but we'll be keeping our eyes open to see what happens next.
