Kazuki Takahashi, the creator behind Yu-Gi-Oh, didn't always have success in making manga. He didn't really become successful until Yu-Gi-Oh came out, which began in 1996. But if you didn't already know, he began creating his own manga stories way back in 1990.
One of his earliest works was Tennenshokudanji Buray, which can be seen above. & I mean that in every sense of the word- this failure of a manga series only lasted two volumes in Shonen Jump before getting canned. It sure looks like Takahashi's drawings, but instead of card games it seems to be about... wrestling? How could he?! A story without card games? Truly a frightful thought to be hold. Was this series crack-worthy as well? If you're lucky enough to get your hands on these rare finds, maybe you'll know the answer to that.
