Zard Singer Izumi Sakai, R.I.P.
Talves muchos no la reconozcan, pero para otros, y para muchos fans de Dragon Ball, es alguien muy importante. Izumi Sakai era la vocalista del grupo ZARD, el cual falleci? el dia domingo 27 de mayo en a la edad de 40 a?os.
Investigaciones revelan que murio por varias fracturas y contusiones, provocadas por la caida que tubo en un edificio.
Izumi Sakai dio su voz para muchisimas canciones de Anime, como fue el tema DON'T YOU SEE y una edicion especial de DAN DAN KOKORO HIKARETEKU, y CDs individuales... descansa en paz Izumi Sakai.

J-Pop singer Izumi Sakai, also known as Zard, passed away on Sunday after falling 10 feet off the landing of a staircase at the Keio University Hospital where she was undergoing treatment for cervical cancer. She was 40 years old. Sakai sang & wrote songs for many different anime, including Slam Dunk, Detective Conan, & DragonBall GT. She also sang a rendition of "Ashita Moshi Kimiga Kowaretemo" from the original Yu-Gi-Oh ending song.
I'll remember her work on DBGT since I've seen that series in its original Japanese version, were she sang the second ending song "Don't You See" (above) & wrote the lyrics to the great opening song "DAN DAN Kokoro Hikareteku." While the same can't be said about the original DragonBall series or even DBZ, I enjoyed all the songs in GT (one of the few areas where GT was better in any way). In fact, the opening song that Sakai wrote remains one of my all-time favorite anime songs.
